Art, Fauna, Wild Birds,- You Name It

These beautiful hand painted life size horse sculptures can be found all over Durant.
We had a busy day. After leaving downtown we drove out to Choctaw Plaza to make some purchases and I  couldn't resist getting a picture of their huge big screen marquee. After all, they were advertising a Valentine Day special.

Ha! We won't be attending because we don't gamble. Look just to your right and you will see their flower mound which was beautiful!

And of course we stopped along the way to get some photos of birds.
Canadian Geese
A Lone Pintail Duck
Mockingbird
And my next one is a re-post. But it's one of my favorite captures ever. It's a Great Blue soaring across the lake where we live at sunrise. For those who have seen it already please forgive the re-post!

~Happy Day Everyone!~

  10. Those horse sculptures are way cool! I'm not sure why, but it reminds me of these giant shoe sculptures that are all over the city of Springfield, MA. It's a little odd, but I was there with the kids a few years back and they got a kick out of them.

  28. Than you all so very very much! I am trying my best to visit everyone but our weather is terrible today. It's been one thunderstorm right after another all night and morning.

We have been in a terrible drought so I am grateful for the rain. But, I am also on satellite and when the rain gets heavy I lose my signal.

I'll get around to visit in between storms. I love seeing all of the wonderful photography and reading all of my friend's posts!

Happy day and peace to all!

  36. Wonderful photos. You asked about the camera I use to get my eagle shots - I have a Canon Powershot SX 30IS The final zoom is 140x - and even with that I find I want more - but I'm pretty happy with this one for now. Anything bigger would be a lot heavier and I need fairly light equipment.
